Caroline Davis

Mrs. Caroline Lee, the daughter of the Late Mr. Willie Lee and Mrs. Viola Lee, was born on February 7, 1945 in Eutawville, South Carolina. She entered eternal rest on May 4, 2018.

Caroline was educated in the public schools in Orangeburg county.

She worked as a care giver and later a machinist at Industrial Acoustics in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

Sis. Caroline became a member of Johnson Temple, C.O.G.I.C, in her late 20s. She was a very committed member who served as a Praise/Worship Leader, Choir member, Hospitality specialist, and wherever else she was needed. 

Caroline was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph Davis Jr. on September 25, 1965; a union in which five children were born. She was a wonderful Wife, awesome Mother, and a loving Grandmother who was the nucleus of the family. She was the family’s loudest cheerleader, staunchest advocate, and toughest coach. She believed in her family and was convinced we could achieve all that we wanted.  She also went out of her way to support those in her community and was always willing to help others. In addition, Caroline was the historian of the family and told ‘our’ stories through pictures. She loved taking pictures to capture significant moments and to share our successes.

Proceeding her in death is one granddaughter, Phenix Nya Davis, three brothers Roger Lee (Maybell), Dan Lee, and Paul Jenkins, and two sisters Ella Hall and Justine Lee-Halls.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Joseph Davis Jr., five children, Dacia Jackson (Rudolphus) of Sorrento, FL.; Veronica Davis of Cross, SC.; Quincy Davis (Taujuana) of Willington, NC; Samajema Davis of Cross, SC., and Titus Davis (Shanae) of Columbia, SC. Three brothers Bobby Lee (Linda) of Cross, SC.; Richard Lee of Cross, SC.; Tommy Middleton of Charleston, SC.; four sisters Elizabeth Gibson (David) of Hackensack, NJ.; Linda Lee of Orangeburg, SC.; Gloria Lee-Hawkins (Vernon) of Hampton, GA.; Pearl Johnson, of Cross, SC.; One Sister-in-Law Emma Lee; of Cross, SC.; Seven grandchildren, DeAundre; Zachary; Johnathan; Lauryn; Olivia; Rashid; and Tyeasha; one great-grand Orlando; Three aunts: Martha Broughton, Katura Butler, and Lucille Lee; two uncles Willie Lee and Roosevelt Lee, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and great friends: Susie Joy, Lillie Mae Taste, Alice Peugese, and St. Clair Middleton.
