Daisy Williams, 92, of 369 Damascus Drive, Vance, departed this life on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The final resting place will be in Target Cemetery, Holly Hill.
Mother Daisy Washington Williams, the daughter of the late David and Sarah Washington was born April 21, 1927 in Vance, South Carolina. She departed this life on August 12, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Mother Daisy joined Target A.M.E. Church approximately 80 years ago. She was a part of the Class No. 2. She served on the Stewardess Board (president), Usher, Kitchen Worker, GoldenSpiritual Lights, Missionary, and Prayer Band. She attended Holly Hill Rosenwall Elementary. She worked at Clarks Inn as a laundry worker.
Mother Daisy was united in holy matrimony to the Late Tommy Lee Williams, Sr. and to this union, two sons were born: Tommy Lee Williams, Jr. and the Late David “Junior Williams, who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: her son and daughter-in law: Tommy Lee (Gloria) Williams, Jr., Vance, SC; a granddaughter:Loretta (Stephen) Mack, Holly Hill, SC: 4 grandsons: Gregory Williams, Vance, SC; Ron (Jeanette) Williams, Santee, SC; Adrian (Sonia) Williams, Eutawville, SC; Cory (Angela) Williams, Vance, SC, several great grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; a dear niece, Anna Middleton, Columbia, SC, special caregivers Angela Davis, Margaret Fuller, and Eva Mae Keitt, and two whom she called “her daughters”, Alice Grant and Dorothy Stokes, as well as other family and friends.
