Daniel Green Obituary

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7
Mr. Daniel Green, son of the late Aslee Murray Jenkins and Wash Green entered into eternal rest on
Friday, November 23, 2018, at his residence.
Daniel was born April 13, 1939 in Eutawville, South Carolina. He was a graduate of Roberts High School Class of 1958 and he served as class treasurer. Daniel also served as president of the local community Locus Social Club. On July 9, 1958, Daniel married the love of his life, the former Virginia Martin. This union was blessed with four children.
A carpenter by trade, Daniel built homes for many in our surrounding communities and areas throughout the state. His passion for carpentry was reflected in the precision of his work and the unyielding devotion he committed to each project. Moreover, Daniel believed in using his talents to help others. He completed many projects as acts of kindness. Additionally, he understood the power of mastering a trade and he worked diligently to teach and assist others in cultivating a similarly strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, and service to mankind.
Daniel had a passion for reading and studying God’s word. He was awarded numerous certificates of achievement from Faith Institute of Biblical Studies (Greenville, SC). He received his diploma from the Program of Theology on January 27, 2009. On June 2, 2010, Daniel earned his diploma from the Voice of Prophecy Worldwide Bible Broadcasters Bible Course of Los Angeles, California. He loved a good bible challenge and he challenged himself to mirror the life of Christ in his daily living.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, a loving granddaughter, Candice Danielle Davis; siblings, Samuel Green, Robert Green, Wash Green Jr., James Green, Carol Ann Green, Eugene “Brother” Capers, and Adele Simmons; brother-in-laws, Charles Martin, Mitchum Banks, Frank Riley and George Turner; sister-in-law, Mildred Martin Riley.
