Darrell L. Bennett

Darrell Lamont Bennett, the son of Leola Bennett White and James Pinckney, was born October 14, 1968 in Cross, SC. Darrell departed his life on Sunday morning, December 16, 2018.

Darrell grew up and was reared in Berkeley County and received his education from Cross High School, Cross, SC and graduated in 1986.

Darrell was employed as a brick mason for 32 years and was a very kind hearted and caring young man.  He loved his family, friends, and enjoyed dancing.

Those who will always cherish his precious memories: his beloved mother, Leola (Ralph) Bennett White of Cross, SC; father, James Pinckney of Columbia, SC; one son, Darrell Bennett, Jr. of Summerville, SC; one daughter, Lisa Grillo; one sister, Rosemary (Louis) Spann of Cross, SC; two brothers, Dwayne Bennett and Shearon Bennett of Cross, SC; two step sisters, Sharonda (Errol) Gordon and Jawanna (Freddie) Watson; his loving aunts, Rosa Lee Washington, Shirley Smith, and Helen Walker all of Cross, SC; his loving uncles, Joseph Marion of Roselle, NJ, Edward (Patricia) Bennett of Bayonne, NJ, Harris (Shirley) Bennett of Pembroke, GA, Warnie Bennett, Jr. of Cross, SC, Edward (Pearl) Pinckney of Cross, SC, Leroy (Patricia) Pinckney, Ruben Pinckney, and Arthur (Beverly) Pinckney of Cross, SC; two nephews, Louis “Trell” Spann, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and Marquis Bennett of Summerville, SC; three nieces, Aaliyah Spann of Orangeburg, SC, Tayla Bennett of Eutawville, SC, and Kensley Bennett of Florence, SC; Cousins he grew up with like brothers and sisters, Roosevelt “Thomas” Bennett, Larry Bennett, Johnny “Ricky” Bennett, Michael Bennett, Albert “Jermaine” Walker, Desmond Whitten, Keith Washington, Alexander Rollison, Jeanette Brown, Lisa Green, Valerie Butler, Donna Pringle, Angeline Walker, and Tawanna Davis; a host of other relatives and friends.
