Ella Mae Green, daughter of the late Benjamin Goodwin and Ida Mae Hamilton was born August 12, 1949 in Eutawville South Carolina. God called her into eternal rest on Thursday, June 13 2019 at Trident Medical Center.
Ella Mae as she was affectionately known, graduated from Robert High School in 1968. She also accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined Saint James Missionary Baptist Church.
In 1990, she married the love of her life the late Joseph Green. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, son Damon Mitchum, sister Sarah President-Robinson, brothers Robert Hamilton Jr. and Samuel A. Goodwin.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her sons Jerome (Addie) Mitchum, of North Charleston, SC and Lionel Mitchum of the home; daughter-in-law Regina Mitchum, of Holly Hill, SC.; Sisters Shirley (Guillermo) Toral of West Ashley, SC; Loretta (Joseph) Failey of North Charleston, SC; Diane Dingle of Wilkes Barre, PA; Thomasena (Isaac) Levine of Cross, SC, Barbara (Paul) Bradley of Cross, SC; Brothers Charles (Barbara) Morton of Eutawville, SC; Corey (Tonya) Hamilton of Orangeburg, SC; Henry Goodwin of Eutawville, SC; and Benjamin Goodwin Jr. of Eutawville, SC; aunts Rudy Butler of Eutawville, SC and Reatha Washington of Eutawville, SC; uncles Robert (Estelle) Washington of Eutawville, SC and Henry (Mary) Washington of Summerville, SC. 21 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
