Mrs. Eureka Gibson-Morton, the daughter of Mr. Willie Gibson and Annie Gibson was born on August 2, 1978. She departed this life on Monday, October 28, 2019, at Richland Park Medical Center.
She grew up in Sarasota, FL and Columbus, GA until she attended Job Corp in Bamberg, SC in 1998. Eureka was a very dependable and hard worker.
On June 12, 2003, she has joined in holy matrimony to James Morton Sr. and was blessed with three children. She was proceeded in death by her parental and maternal grandparents and one niece, Sequoia Shaw.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of sixteen years, James Morton Sr., son, James Morton Jr., two daughters, Jameriah Princella Emonie Morton and Jahierka Samonie Morton, mother, Anne Gibson (Reggie Adams) of Orlando, FL, father, Willie (Sophrina) Gibson, five sisters, Ebony Gibson of Orlando, FL, Alexis Y. Smith, Chelsea McWorther, Diedre Lyons of Columbus, GA and Tarhesha M. President Lloyd of Orangeburg, SC, three brothers, Al Lyons, Travis Lyons and Kya Lyons of Columbus, GA, four aunts, Yvonne Lamb of Sarasota, FL, Princella “Jean” Peek, Hazel (Marvin) Jones of Jacksonville, FL, and Katura Swift of Columbus, GA, three uncles, Louis Peek and Thomas Spann, Jr. of Sarasota, FL, and Charles (Barbara) Gibson of Columbus, GA. She shared a special bond with her cousin, Pandora Williams of Sarasota, FL, three life-long friends, Candice Maxe, Artesyia Howard and Mikey Abner. Eureka had a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished her dearly.
