James Rivers

Mr. James Rivers was born in Eutawville, SC on November 3, 1951 to the late Deacon John and Deaconess Rosa Rivers. He departed this life on Sunday, April 28, 2019.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he was a member from an early age.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Bernice Mills on April 6, 1973.

He was employed with F&R maintenance for over 25 years. Once retired he moved back to Eutawville, South Carolina.

He leaves to cherish fond memories to: his wife, Bernice Rivers of the home; three sons, James (Ayano) Rivers Jr. of Okinawa, Japan, Jason (D*wan) Rivers of Goose Creek, SC, and Michael (Shadiquah) Rivers of Union, NJ; one daughter, Jennifer Rivers of Brooklyn, NY; five grandchildren, Michael Rivers of Union, NJ, Kevaughn Hordge of Union, NJ, Kiya Rivers of Somerset, NJ and James John Rivers III and Ayanna Rivers of Okinawa, Japan; three brothers, William (Mary) Rivers, Robert Rivers both of Eutawville, SC, and John McArthur (Betty Ann) Rivers of Holly Hill, SC; sisters-in-law, Ollie Rivers of Eutawville, SC, Annie Mae Rivers of Eutawville, SC, Silvia Mills of Clearwater, FL, Hazel Mills, and Iola Mills of Trinidad; one aunt, Alqueen Rivers Richardson of Vance, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
