Mrs. Janie Lee Jamison, affectionately known to all as Nana, was the daughter of the late Mr. Ernest and Mrs. Ida Ritter was born September 23, 1934, in Holly Hill, SC. She attended Rosenwald Public School in Holly Hill, SC.
At an early age, she joined Briner Christian Church (DOC) where she served faithfully on the Usher Board until her health began to fail. She later became a member of New Way Church House Ministries World Wide, Holly Hill.
All who knew her, knew that she was an AWESOME cook and known for her baking. She was employed at Placid Manor and Whiteface Inn, Lake Placid, NY.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Edward Jamison, Jr. on October 16, 1954.
Janie Lee was preceded in death by her parents; two siblings: Ernest Ritter, Jr. and Larry Ritter.
She leaves to cherish two loving daughters: Willa Dean J. Anderson, of Holly Hill, SC and Blondell Sanders, of the home; three special grand-children who were reared in the home; Sharon Jamison and Kel Anderson both of Holly Hill, SC and Sedrick Sanders, of Charlotte, NC; four great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother Samuel (Charlene) Ritter of Mt. Dora, FL; one sister Rachel (Lorenzo) Taylor, of Marion, SC; a special god-daughter, Bertha Mae Cobbs of Holly Hill, SC; a foster daughter; Harriett Howell of Santee, SC; three special cousins, Sarah R. Anderson, Mary Lee Mack and Delphine Weldon all of Holly Hill, SC; her best friend Althea Townsend of Holly Hill, SC; her caregiver Doris Young of Eutawville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly.
