Jerry Howell

Jerry Lee Howell was born on July 25, 1953 in Orangeburg, SC to Ruth Howell and the late Gerald Malachi Howell. Jerry passed away from this life the morning of March 16, 2018 after a gradual decline in health at Trident Medical Center, Charleston, SC.  

Jerry joined Rock Hill A.M.E. Church at an early age and was an active member until his health began to decline in 2011. Jerry received his education from the Orangeburg County School District.  He retired from the truck driving industry following his illness. 

Jerry was joined in matrimony to Joann Moore on April 23, 1975 and to that union two children were born.  Jerry was very proud when he became a father, and even prouder when he became a grandfather.  He enjoyed spending time and doing things for his grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by: his wife, Joann Moore Howell; two children and their spouses, Gerald Howell (Angel), and Subreana Nicholas (Emon); five grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Iyeesha Nicholas, Marvin Nicholas, Zoey Howell, Zion Howell, and Justin Nicholas; his mother, Ruth Howell; two brothers, Earl Howell (Dianne) and Donnell Howell; one sister, Linda Howell; two brothers-in-law, Nathanial Moore, Sr. (Julia), and Willie Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
