Rosa Thrower

Mrs. Rosa H. Thrower, the daughter of the late Raymond Clark and Lottie Capers Clark was born in Holly Hill, SC. She departed this life for a place to rest on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Trident Medical Center.

She grew up in Holly Hill, SC and attended the public schools there.

Early in life she became a member of Greater Target A.M.E. Church. She was a dedicated and faithful member. She served faithfully on the Stewardess Board.

Rosa was united in marriage to the late Nathaniel Hilliard. To this union four children were born. Later in life she married the late Joe Thrower.

Rosa was a good cook and she loved to cook for her children. Some of the other family members also had a chance to enjoy her delicious meals.

Rosa was employed by Holiday Inn and Quality Inn in Santee, SC. She was a very dedicated employee and took pride in her work.

Rosa leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children, Rev. Michael (Barbara) Clark, Terry (Janie) Hilliard, Diane Hilliard all of Holly Hill, SC, Barbara (Charles) Gladden of St. Matthews, SC, Gloria Hilliard of Holly Hill, SC, and Nathaniel (Mellissa) Hilliard of Cameron, SC; sisters, Annie Lee Jamison, Mary Gadson of Holly Hill, SC, Elsie (Samuel) Palmer, and Mae Liza Smith of New York City; sisters-in-law, Lizzie Davis and Sally (Thomas) Hamilton; brothers-in-law, Johnny L. Thrower, J.C. Thrower, and Robert Thrower; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
