Tracy Brown

Tracy Brown, 48, of 320 Olin Rd., Vance, departed this life on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Roper St. Francis, West Ashley. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church at 10:00AM the day of service for viewing. The final resting place will be in Shepherd Outreach Ministry Cemetery, Vance.

Friends and family may visit the residence 12:00PM-8:00PM daily. 

TRACY EVETTE BROWN, daughter of Willie H. Brown, Sr. and the late Onell Leola Asbury Brown, was born on January 2, 1970 in Bronx, New York.  God looked down upon this child of His, who was loved by so many, and called her to that city of eternal rest on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, following a brief illness.

At the age of three, Tracy migrated from New York with her parents to South Carolina where she spent her entire life.   She received her high school diploma from Holly Hill-Roberts High School, Holly Hill, SC in 1988.  Her education continued with earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice at Claflin University, Orangeburg, SC in 2011, and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Webster University in Columbia, SC in 2015. 

Tracy was employed at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC for over seven years as a Residential Hall Director.  She has been employed for more than ten years as an Accounting Clerk with the Orangeburg County Clerk of Court Office in Orangeburg, SC.

Tracy was a devoted and faithful member of The Shepherd Outreach Ministry (TSOM) where she touched the lives of many in a positive way. 

Tracy was preceded in death by her mother, Onell Leola Asbury Brown, in 2012; and her brother, Michael Brown in 2001.

Tracy was loved by everyone.  She had a special way of touching the lives of everyone she knew.  There was never a dull moment when she was around.  She has left so many memories of fun and laughter with all of her family and friends.  Tracy had such a giving heart and would give her last if you needed it.  Her personality, her jokes, and the sound of her voice will be missed by everyone. 

Tracy’s humor and precious memories will always be cherished by her father, Willie H. Brown, Sr. of Vance, SC; four sisters, Benetta Zene of St. Matthews, SC; Jacqueline Brown of Goose Creek, SC; Brenda (Joseph) Davis of Columbia, SC; and Pastor Winnifa B. (First Man Kenneth) Clark of Holly Hill, SC; two brothers, Willie H. Brown, Jr. and Anthony (Shaquan) Brown, both of Columbia, SC; six nieces, Shante, Jasmine, Kendrea, Jada, Monica and Tina; four nephews, Lamont, Maurice, Kendrick and Tony; four great-nieces, Jerrica, Destiny, Kennedi, and Neveah; two uncles, Cleo Brown of Elloree, SC, and William (Maybelle) Gaines of Vance, SC; one great-aunt, Mary Lee Joiner of Columbia, SC, one godson, Tyler Boone of Holly Hill, SC; and a host of adopted sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
