A graduate of Berkeley Training High School, Katherleen married the love of her life and reared six children.  At her early age, she accepted Jesus as her Savior and joined Greater St. James AME Church.  She was a faithful servant of God who wore many hats such as senior steward, Sunday school teacher, missionary, stewardess, church custodian, class leader and she led the culinary arts ministry for many years. Her greatest joy was helping others, caring for the sick and elderly, rearing her children and grandchildren, preparing meals as the church hosted conferences and services.  She served the church faithfully until her health declined. She strongly believed in “finding the hurt and healing it” as well as seeing a need a meeting it.
