Kenneth Halls Obituary

Kenneth Halls affectionately known by his loved ones as “Kenny” was born February 17, 1961 to the late Saul Hall and Florence Lee Hall in Cross, South Carolina. Kenny departed this life on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his residence.

Kenny grew up in Cross, South Carolina and received his early education in Orangeburg County.  After moving with his family to Jersey City, NJ he attended Ferris High School and graduated in 1980.

Kenny's passion for auto body began in high school while working at Rico's Auto Body in Jersey City, NJ. Kenny managed and operated the body shop after the passing of the owner. In 1994, Kenny returned to South Carolina and started his own business, Cross Customs and later Kenneth Halls' Auto Body, specializing in paint and body.

Being a skilled artist Kenny mentored others and taught them how to master auto bodying. When it came to his craft of paint and bodywork on cars Kenny was vibrant, dedicated and always had a way of making people laugh. He had a special gift of thinking outside the box and there was nothing that he couldn't fix or figure out.

Kenny was proceeded in death by his parents, Saul and Florence Lee Hall.

Kenny leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children, Kenneth Jason Vargas of Cross, South Carolina, Kristen Denise Vargas (RaShawn) Hayward of Union City, New Jersey, Lamar Adrian Vargas of Decatur, Georgia and Juan Vargas of Jersey City, New Jersey; four granddaughters, LaNiya Vargas, Khamil Jackson, Kylie Vargas, and Ariah Hayward; four sisters, Debra A. Hall of Eutawville, SC, Arlyne Hall of Little Ferry, NJ, Salina (Vernon) Lawrence of Jersey City, NJ, and Rhoda Hall of Hollywood, FL; one brother, Kelvin Hall of Jersey City, NJ; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends.
