Wanda Graham Obituary

Wanda Therese Brown Graham the beautiful daughter of The late Mr. Horace H. Brown, Sr., and Mrs. Susie M. Pinckney Brown was born on September 3, 1954 in Cross, South Carolina and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at her residence.

Wanda was reared in church and was an active member at Ebenezer Zion AME Church. In her younger years she was a member of the choir. Wanda was reared in a era where they would tarry for the holy ghost and her Aunt Virginia made sure they knew God and accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior at an early age.

Wanda grew up and attended the public schools of Berkeley County and graduated from Cross High School in 1972. While in High School she was a member of The Trojans Marching Band and The National Honor Society. She later furthered her education to Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina and graduated with a BA in History in May, 1976. While in college she was a member of Vogue Ladies Social Club and Voorhees Concert Choir.

Wanda was employed at Cummins Turbo Technologies formerly known as Holset Turbochargers for many years and towards the end of her tenure she devoted her time to taking care of her father until his death. In 2017 she became employed with Berkeley Citizens up until he sickness in 2019.

Wanda was rich in family and shared the passion for music, dancing and comedy as both of her parents possessed these same traits. As long as music was playing, Wanda would be dancing. She could electric slide all night long. She had a natural gift of making others laugh and enjoyed bringing laughter to everyone's heart. She looked like her Dad but she had the wit of her Mother. However, besides her love for family and friends one of her greatest love was watching her Dallas Cowboys play. Win, Lose or Draw she loved her Cowboys!

Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, Horace Brown, Jr., and her son, Reco Graham.

Wanda was married to the smooth and cool Alexander "Z Man" Graham, Jr., on August 19, 1977. This union was blessed with three beautiful children.
